  My wife and I have been going to Green Pines for many years and love the warm fellowship of members and traditional, biblically-based, conservative worship and teaching. Our young pastor, Jarrod Scott, has been preaching at Green Pines for over ten years. The church has all the basics, an active Wednesday night program for kids, adult Sunday School, secure children's area, a very active preschool, and programs like Meals on Wheels, affiliation with Carillon Senior Living Center, Hodge Road Elementary, Food Pantry and other outreach opportunities. One of the ministries that transformed both my daughters was international short and long term mission trips to China. Basically Green Pines is a great, hometown environment to raise a family.

  It is the warmest and loving church I have been a part of. And we look after our own as well as minister in many ways to our neighborhood. The community has many needs and we enjoy serving Christ through those needs. No need to spend money in travel expense as all the nations are here in our backyard as we share the good news right here at home. The music is worshipful, has grown beautifully through the leadership of Bud Dyer and their talents are utilized throughout the community. If you desire to grow in your relationship with Jesus Christ, you will be enriched through the teachings of our Pastor Jarrod Scott as he takes a book from the Bible and teaches verse by verse. Come and worship at Green Pines Baptist Church.

  The people that make up this church are truly disciples of Christ. They love their God,
  each other and the community. We follow in Christ's footsteps providing help for our
  community with a food pantry, a Loving Out Loud program, many events such as the
  Passion Play at Easter and live nativity at Christmas. We are active in mission support
  and have recently adopted a group in China that mission teams from the church will visit.
  The music program starts all services with heartfelt praise setting the mood for all to
  worship an awesome God. If you are seeing a special relationship with Jesus Christ,

  I am not a regular churchgoer, when I moved into the area from up north all we heard about were how angry southern baptish churches are, how much hate they spread. When we came to Green Pines it was like we were visiting family even on the first day, people welcomed us, the Pastor there speaks with a passion that turns ordinary church services into something that actually makes a normal person want to know more about the bible and what certain verses mean and how they affect me.
  If you are new to the area and want to find a great, welcoming group of people, this should be the first place you go.

  Our family has been going to Green Pines for over 9 years now. Over the years, we have developed many friendships and continue to meet new people each week. There are many different ministries at Green Pines where we can use our talents to help serve people in our Church, surrounding community, and even overseas on short & long term mission trips. We have learned so much under the biblical teaching of our Senior Pastor, Jarrod Scott and continue to enjoy his teachings each week. We also enjoy being a part of one of the many small groups that meet together at Green Pines. Our weekly small group meetings allow us to talk about the bible as well as live day-to-day life together by knowing we have a network of friends to support us in times of need. We are truly blessed to be a part of Green Pines and would welcome anyone that is currently looking to join a Church Family to come visit with us!
